Pakistan captain Babar Azam has vowed that his side will put up a “strong showing” in their upcoming three-match Twenty20 series against Australia.
Azam’s confidence stems from the fact that he believes Pakistan “have a good mix of experience and youth”.
The Twenty20 series against Australia, which will be held from November 3 to 8, will be Azam’s first assignment as captain. The 25-year-old replaced Sarfaraz Ahmed as leader of the Twenty20 squad last week.
“The team combination against Australia will have a good mix of experience and youth. Selecting players for the team is the job of the selection committee,” he was quoted as saying by cricketpakistan.com.pk. “Sri Lanka had a young team. We have learned from our mistakes. We will provide a strong showing against Australia.”
