Former India batsman Wasim Jaffer admitted to being perplexed by Pakistan’s decision to overlook batsman Fawad Alam and left-arm seamer Junaid Khan for the upcoming tour of Australia.
Fawad, who hasn’t played international cricket since April 2015, has been one of the top performers in domestic cricket for the past few years, and just last month, he scored an unbeaten 100 for Sindh in their Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As for Junaid, who last played for Pakistan in May this year, he has taken three wickets in four matches at an average of 36.33 for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the National T20 Cup.
It amazes me to not see @iamfawadalam25 and @JunaidkhanREAL in Pakistan teams.

“It amazes me to not see Fawad Alam and Junaid Khan in [the] Pakistan team. Fawad Alam averages [55.77] in first-class cricket and Junaid Khan has always done well whenever he [gets] opportunities,” Jaffer said on Twitter.
