Ajinkya Rahane and captain Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 53 and 51 not out respectively to push India’s lead to 260 on the third day in Antigua.

Starting off the day on 189/8, the West Indies added 31 runs to their overnight score before captain Jason Holder was caught behind off the bowling of Mohammed Shami for 39.

The West Indies ended up being bowled out for 222, which gave India a 75-run lead, when Miguel Cummins was clean bowled by Ravindra Jadeja for a duck.

Ishant Sharma was the pick of the bowlers with five wickets, while Shami and Jadeja snapped up two wickets apiece. As for Jasprit Bumrah, he chipped in with one.

With a 75-run lead in hand, India lost opener Mayank Agarwal early on as he was trapped lbw off the bowling of Roston Chase for 16.

Lokesh Rahul managed to make 38 runs before he was cleaned up by Chase.

Cheteshwar Pujara fell shortly after as he was clean bowled by Kemar Roach for 25.

Rahane and Kohli stabilised the innings with an unbeaten 104-run stand, during which both batsmen brought up their fifties, before stumps was called.

Rahane finished on 53, which came off 140 balls and included three boundaries, while Kohli remained undefeated on 51, which came off 111 deliveries and included two boundaries.

Chase was the most successful bowler with two wickets, while Roach claimed one.

India ended day three on 185/3 and will continue batting on Sunday at 09:30 local time or 01:30 GMT.
