Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has made it clear that he has no intention of giving up on his cricketing career, and added that he will walk away from the sport on his own terms.

There has been a lot of speculation about whether Hafeez will retire from international cricket after he was not given a central contract for the 2019/2020 season.

However, when asked on Twitter whether he will give up playing cricket, the 38-year-old said: “Give up I don’t know this word, my career meri marzi (my choice).”

Hafeez most recently represented Pakistan at the World Cup, where he scored 253 runs in eight matches, which included a fifty, at an average of 31.62. He also took two wickets at an average of 94.50.
