Former Australia batsman Dean Jones has applied for the Pakistan head coach role

Former Australia batsman Dean Jones has applied to become Pakistan’s head coach.

Jones is currently the head coach of Islamabad United, a Pakistan Super League (PSL) team.

It remains to be seen if he will be appointed as Pakistan’s next head coach as many former players have called on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to select a local candidate.

If he ends up becoming head coach, Jones will take over from Mickey Arthur, whose contract was not renewed.
