Legendary Pakistan seamer Shoaib Akhtar used the word “disappointed” to describe how he felt about left-arm pace bowler Mohammad Amir’s decision to retire from Test cricket.
Amir stunned the cricketing community when he announced that he would be bringing his Test career to an end last Friday in order to focus on limited overs cricket.
Many former cricketers have criticised him for his decision, and Akhtar held the same view as he was less than impressed that Amir had walked away from the longest format at the age of 27.
Akhtar said he was disappointed with Amir’s decision when asked about it during a question and answer session on Twitter.
