Legendary Pakistan batsman Javed Miandad believes that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shouldn’t make any hasty decisions when it comes to Sarfraz Ahmed and the captaincy.

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Sarfraz Ahmed’s future as captain, with some reports indicating he will be stripped of the captaincy entirely, while others state he will lead Pakistan in fewer formats.

However, with no one else having had much experience captaining at the international level, Miandad feels it would be unwise to remove Sarfraz as captain.

“I believe Sarfraz has learnt a lot as captain. Now when he is fully trained to lead the national side for important future assignments it will not be a wise [decision] to change him,” he told APP as quoted by cricketpakistan.com.pk.
