Former Pakistan leg-spinner Abdul Qadir believes Mohsin Khan would be the perfect candidate to take over as the national team’s batting coach.

Mohsin, who represented Pakistan in 48 Tests and 75 ODIs, has previously served as chief selector and interim head coach.

Grant Flower was Pakistan’s most recent batting coach, but it remains to be seen if he will be retained following the men in green’s failure to qualify for the World Cup semi-finals.

“As a coach he was doing a great job. It was under his mentorship that Pakistan whitewashed England 3-0 in their Test series in 2012. It is regrettable that he was removed without any reason, which cost Pakistan dearly,” Qadir was quoted as saying by The Nation.
