Mickey Arthur has frequently said that he would like to continue on as Pakistan’s head coach, but he also admitted that he is interested in succeeding Trevor Bayliss as England’s coach.
Bayliss will step down from the head coach role after the Ashes later this year.
With his future as Pakistan’s head coach unclear after his contract expired after the recent World Cup, Arthur conceded that he will be keeping a close eye on the England job.
“Of course the England job would interest me,” he told The Cricket Paper. “But as I say I’ll sit down and talk to Pakistan when I get back to Lahore in the next couple of weeks. I’ll see what direction they want to go, I’ve loved my time with Pakistan.”
