Mickey Arthur: “Our best chance is definitely coming in four years”

Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur believes that the national team will have the “best chance” of winning the World Cup in 2023.

Arthur’s comments come after Pakistan failed to qualify for the World Cup semi-finals.

Pakistan got off to a rocky start in the tournament, but after their loss to arch-rivals India, they bounced back brilliantly as they defeated South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

Despite also beating England earlier on, the men in green failed to advance to the semi-finals as New Zealand had a better net run rate than them.

However, Arthur feels that the men in green could lift the coveted trophy at the 2023 World Cup in India.

“Our best chance is definitely coming in four years. There’s a definite amount of up-side in that,” Arthur told The Cricket Paper.
