Pakistan spin-bowling all-rounder Imad Wasim has picked India and England as his favourites to win the World Cup.
India will take on New Zealand in the semi-finals in Manchester on Tuesday, while England will face Australia in the other semi-final at Edgbaston on Thursday.
Imad noted that given the way India and England have been playing in the tournament, he feels that one of them will lift the coveted trophy.
India have won the World Cup twice in 1983 and 2011, while England have yet to win it.
New Zealand are in the same boat as England, while Australia have won the tournament five times – in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2015.
“I think the way England have picked up momentum, they should be the favourites for the 2019 World Cup alongside India,” Imad was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
