Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur’s contract is likely to be extended by a year, according to reports.
According to arysports.tv, sources indicate that Arthur, whose current contract expires after the conclusion of the World Cup later this month, will be retained after he met with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani at the home of the board’s managing director Wasim Khan.
It is understood that Arthur told Mani about how Pakistan won the 2017 Champions Trophy and are currently at the summit of the Twenty20 team rankings.
The PCB will not officially announce anything regarding Arthur’s future yet as the board’s cricket committee, which is headed by Wasim, will conduct a comprehensive review from the last week of July.
