Former Pakistan batsman Bazid Khan believes that Sarfraz Ahmed will no longer captain the country in all three formats following the national team’s failure to reach the World Cup semi-finals.
Bazid pointed out that Sarfraz will still lead the side in one or two formats, but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) could opt for someone else to captain the team in ODIs.
The PCB will hold a comprehensive review soon, during which they will determined whether changes need to be made in regards to who captains the team, the coaching staff and the national selectors.
“I think the selectors might venture into having him lead in one or two formats and getting in another captain for the one-dayers. I don’t think they will totally remove him from the captaincy,” Bazid told cricketcountry.com.
