Former England captain Andrew Strauss believes that Pakistan are capable of winning their last five World Cup matches and even going on to reach the final.

Pakistan have endured a disappointing start to their World Cup campaign as they lost to the West Indies by seven wickets in their opening match.

They bounced back to beat England by 14 runs before their match against Sri Lanka was washed out.

In their most recent match, they fell to Australia by 41 runs.

Pakistan’s next game will be against arch-rivals India in Manchester on Sunday.

“It’s not beyond Pakistan to win all five remaining group matches. When you think of previous World Cups when they’ve started slowly and people think they’ve got no chance and then suddenly they get on a wave of momentum, come through and they are in the final,” Strauss was quoted as saying by Saj Sadiq on Twitter.
