Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has revealed that there are two keys to success for the national team in their highly-anticipated World Cup clash against India on Sunday.

Pakistan will play India in Manchester, and the men in green will be looking to snap their winless streak against their arch-rivals as India have triumphed in their six World Cup meetings to date.

However, Pakistan can take confidence from the fact that they demolished India by 180 runs in the Champions Trophy final in 2017.

Afridi noted that the first key to success is for the batsmen that get set at the crease to convert their starts into big knocks.

As for the second one, Afridi said that Pakistan must be at the top of their game in the fielding department.

“I feel it is really important for the players who get in to convert 40s-50s into big runs, that’s how you win matches,” he said on Twitter. “The players need to stay calm and focused and yes fielding will play a major role, 70-80 percent of the game is won with fielding.”
