Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja believes that spinner Shadab Khan would have dismissed Australia opener David Warner on Wednesday.
Warner scored a brilliant 107 as Australia beat Pakistan by 41 runs in their World Cup clash in Taunton.
Ramiz was highly critical of the fact that Pakistan decided to drop Shadab for the match.
“The leggie would have taken David Warner’s wicket,” Ramiz was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder. “The Pakistani players fielded poorly and it was a bad decision of the captain to place Asif Ali in the slips as he dropped [the] important catch of Warner. Babar Azam often stands [there] on the field.”
Pakistan’s next match will be against arch-rivals India in Manchester on Sunday.
