Legendary Pakistan left-arm seamer Wasim Akram believes that questions will be asked of captain Sarfraz Ahmed if the national team continue to struggle at the World Cup.

Pakistan have endured a disappointing start to their World Cup campaign as they lost to the West Indies by seven wickets in their opening match.

They bounced back to beat England by 14 runs before their match against Sri Lanka was washed out.

In their most recent match, they fell to Australia by 41 runs.

Their next game will be against arch-rivals India in Manchester on Sunday.

“What maximum can happen? Removal from captaincy? That’s it!” Wasim told Geo.tv. “The captain must know that he’ll be blamed if the team isn’t doing good. No one will question the coach or anyone else.”
