Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq has insisted that he doesn’t have a weakness on the leg side.

Imam’s comments come after he was caught down the leg side trying to pull a delivery from Australia pace bowler Pat Cummins in the World Cup on Wednesday.

Imam was dismissed in similar fashion in Pakistan’s World Cup opener against the West Indies as he edged a delivery down the leg side off the bowling of seamer Sheldon Cottrell.

“I was unlucky that it touched the glove. That particular shot is my strength and I have made many runs playing the same shot. That delivery was meant to be hit for four and I wanted to guide it towards the boundary but was a bit unlucky,” Imam was quoted as saying by Geo.tv.

“It was just a matter of luck, I don’t think this is something which can be termed as my weakness.”

Pakistan’s next World Cup match will be against their arch-rivals India in Manchester on Sunday.
