Persistent rain led to the World Cup clash between India and New Zealand in Nottingham being washed out without a single ball bowled.
Not even a toss could take place as the highly-anticipated match between the two undefeated sides ended in bitter disappointment.
India had beaten South Africa and Australia prior to this match, while New Zealand had defeated Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
As a result of the washout, both sides received one point.
New Zealand are at the top of the points table with seven points after four matches, while India are in third place with five points after three games.
New Zealand’s next match will be against South Africa at Edgbaston on Wednesday, while India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in Manchester on Sunday.
