Legendary Pakistan left-arm seamer Wasim Akram has admitted that the national team will have to be at their best in order to beat India in their highly-anticipated World Cup clash on Sunday.

Pakistan will play in Manchester, and the men in green will be looking to snap their winless streak against their arch-rivals as India have triumphed in their six World Cup meetings to date.

However, Pakistan can take confidence from the fact that they demolished India by 180 runs in the Champions Trophy final in 2017.

But, Pakistan will be going into the match on a low as they lost to Australia by 41 runs on Wednesday.

“India [are] a good side and they outclassed Australia earlier, Pakistan will be under pressure and to beat a side like India, you need to be at your best,” Akram told The News International.
