Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has claimed that his side are “physically and mentally” ready for their World Cup clash against Australia in Taunton on Wednesday.

Pakistan have endured a turbulent start to their World Cup campaign as they lost their World Cup opener to the West Indies by seven wickets.

However, they bounced back superbly as they beat England by 14 runs.

But, they couldn’t build on that win as their third match against Sri Lanka was washed out.

With Australia having lost their match against India by 36 runs on Sunday, Hafeez noted that Pakistan can hand them their second straight defeat.

“Australia isn’t unbeatable. We will enter the game with high confidence, we will continue with the momentum we gained by winning against England. We are ready, physically and mentally, for Australia and any other opponent,” he told Geo.tv. “I will not leave any stone unturned in playing my part.”
