Legendary batsman Younis Khan has revealed that many Pakistan players aspire to be like India captain Virat Kohli.

In addition to being as being as good as Kohli in terms of batting, Younis noted that players in Pakistan also try to replicate the 30-year-old’s fitness regime and body language.

Younis’ comments are highly intriguing as Pakistan have a number of talented players like Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq.

However, it seems that Kohli is in a class of his own when compared to them, especially in the eyes of aspiring cricketers in Pakistan.

“Virat Kohli is also loved by Pakistanis. Today, many Pakistan players want to play like Kohli and be fit like him and have his body language. Even in the Asia Cup where he did not play, the stadiums weren’t jampacked. He is a big factor for India in the World Cup,” Younis was quoted as saying by CricTracker.

Pakistan’s next World Cup match will be against Sri Lanka in Bristol on Friday.
