Pakistan seamer Mohammad Sami has admitted that the national team will can’t afford to panic during their highly-anticipated match against India at the World Cup.

Pakistan will play India on June 16 in Manchester, and the men in green will be looking to snap their winless streak against their arch-rivals as India have triumphed in their six World Cup meetings to date.

However, Pakistan can take confidence from the fact that they demolished India by 180 runs in the Champions Trophy final in 2017.

That being said, Sami believes that the upcoming encounter will be “a test of nerves”.

“The match against India will be a test of nerves, it is a pressure match and best way to release the pressure is to play with aggression,” Sami told Geo.tv.

Pakistan will play two World Cup warm-up games against Afghanistan and Bangladesh in Bristol and Cardiff on May 24 and 26 respectively.

They will then begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
