Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Moin Khan believes that if the national team play like they did in the Champions Trophy final, then they have a great chance of beating India at the World Cup.

Pakistan will play India on June 16 in Manchester, and the men in green will be looking to snap their winless streak against their arch-rivals as India have triumphed in their six World Cup meetings to date.

However, the men in green can take confidence from the fact that they demolished India by 180 runs to taste Champions Trophy glory in 2017.

“If we play the way we played against them in the Champions Trophy, then I am sure the team will be in a position to change the history of Pakistan’s winless record against arch-rivals India in World Cup games,” Moin told Geo.tv.

Pakistan will play two World Cup warm-up games against Afghanistan and Bangladesh in Bristol and Cardiff on May 24 and 26 respectively.

They will then begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
