Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur noted that 19-year-old seamers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Hasnain have a “very bright future ahead of them”.

Both Afridi and Hasnain have been included in Pakistan’s squad for the World Cup.

Afridi made his international debut last April and has represented Pakistan in all three formats since then.

He has taken 12 wickets in three Tests at an average of 31.41 and 19 wickets in 11 ODIs at an average of 19.36.

As for Twenty20 Internationals, he has claimed 14 wickets in 10 games at an average of 20.57.

Hasnain made his international debut during the recent ODI series against Australia, where he took two wickets in three games at an average of 78.

He also featured in the one-off Twenty20 International against England on May 5, but went wicketless.

“Our young pacers are outstanding. We have got two 19-year-olds who have a very bright future ahead of them,” Arthur told Sky Sports as quoted by cricketpakistan.com.pk.

Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
