Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has admitted that his side need to work on their fielding ahead of the World Cup.
Sarfraz noted that during the one-off Twenty20 International against England, which the men in green lost by seven wickets, it was their fielding that let them down.
“When two good sides are playing against each other, then obviously one [will] need to perform well [while] bowling and batting, but fielding is a factor that makes the difference. We lacked in the fielding [department] during the only T20 International so we would try to sort this out,” he was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder.
Pakistan will now play a five-match ODI series against England, which will start on Wednesday at The Oval.
After that, Pakistan will play two World Cup warm-up games against Afghanistan and Bangladesh in Bristol and Cardiff on May 24 and 26 respectively.
They will then kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
