Legendary Pakistan batsman Javed Miandad has once again taken aim at Shahid Afridi, saying he is ashamed of the former all-rounder’s attitude and believes his autobiography, Game Changer, was solely written for financial gain.
In his book, Afridi claimed that Miandad didn’t let him participate in batting practice prior to the Chennai Test against India in 1999.
He added that any ounce of respect he had for Miandad dissipated when he was forced to praise him during the presentation ceremony.
However, Miandad denied all these allegations.
This time around, the 61-year-old took more jabs at Afridi.
“He has been changed completely now. His attitude is very disappointing for everyone belongs to cricket fraternity in Pakistan,” Miandad was quoted as saying by arysports.tv. “His book has been written just to earn money.”
Miandad added that he had always been Afridi’s biggest supporter.
“I was the one who guided him back from the dressing room during his brilliant century knock in Canada,” he said.
