Afridi reveals which two players can shine during the World Cup

Ex-Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has revealed that openers Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq can excel during the World Cup.

Imam has accumulated 1,153 runs in 24 matches, which includes five centuries and five fifties, at an average of 54.90.

As for Zaman, he has amassed 1,442 runs in 31 matches, which includes three centuries and nine half-centuries, at an average of 53.40.

Zaman also holds the record for being the fastest batsman to accumulate 1,000 runs in the format, while Imam is second on the list.

“We have some players who can do very well in England. We have capable openers Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq and they go into the World Cup in good form,” Afridi was quoted as saying by The National.

Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
