Shahid Afridi: “Pakistan is capable of winning against any team”

Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi firmly believes that the national team are capable of beating every other side at the World Cup.

Pakistan have not been in the best of form in ODIs this year, but they can take confidence from the fact that they won the Champions Trophy in England in 2017.

The men in green, who last won the World Cup in 1992, will begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.

“Pakistan is capable of winning against any team,” Afridi was quoted as saying by The National. “Mickey Arthur [Pakistan coach] has worked really hard with the boys. As a player, I’m confident that they will do well at the World Cup.”
