Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja has noted that the national team have to be aggressive with the ball and constantly looking for wickets in they want to excel during the limited overs series against England.
Pakistan will play a one-off Twenty20 International and five ODIs against England prior to the World Cup.
The series will run from May 5 to 19.
With Pakistan’s World Cup campaign beginning with a match against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31, they will be looking to gain some confidence going into the tournament by beating England.
“Pakistan should not forget one thing against England, which is that they should always be looking [to take] wickets at the back of their minds,” Ramiz was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder. “If Pakistan tries to bowl defensively, then they [will] go into a negative mindset [and give] England room to dominate them.
“If you don’t give them [England batsmen] the pace, then we [will] have a chance, and that too only if we take up proper field [placements].”
