Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur has admitted that he has been highly impressed with spinner Imad Wasim as he has completely changed his attitude towards fitness.
Imad has been struggling with a chronic knee injury, but it didn’t stop him from passing the mandatory yo-yo test and being included in the World Cup squad.
“Imad’s attitude to fitness has changed completely, he’s working hard but he has an issue with his knee,” Arthur was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “We’re not compromising with our fitness standards and he knows that, he’s worked hard to get himself into the best physical shape.”
Pakistan will begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
