Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur has conceded that left-arm seamer Usman Khan Shinwari was unlucky to miss out on being included in the World Cup squad.
Shinwari and fellow left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir were the two notable players omitted from the squad.
Arthur admitted that Shinwari hasn’t done much wrong and was unfortunate not to be part of the 15-man team.
“Shinwari has done well and he’s unlucky to miss out,” Arthur was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
However, there is still hope for Shinwari to get into the World Cup side as Pakistan can make changes to their squad without permission from the International Cricket Council (ICC) until May 23.
Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
