Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed believes that pace bowler Mohammad Hasnain can be a “key factor” during the limited overs series against England and World Cup.

Hasnain stole the spotlight at the Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he claimed 12 wickets in seven games for the Quetta Gladiators at an average of 17.58.

He was subsequently called up to the Pakistan squad for the ODI series against Australia in the United Arab Emirates.

Hasnain made his international debut during the series and finished with two wickets in three games at an average of 78.

“Mohammad Hasnain can bowl 150kph plus. OK he’s a little inexperienced but we have worked with him at the academy and he can be a key factor for the Pakistan team in the England series and World Cup,” Sarfraz was quoted as saying by PakPassion.

Pakistan’s limited overs series against England will consist of a one-off Twenty20 International and five ODIs, and run from May 5 to 19.

They will then kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
