Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has confirmed that all-rounder Faheem Ashraf will bat at number eight or nine at the World Cup.
Faheem has been included in Pakistan’s World Cup squad, and Sarfraz noted that the 25-year-old has made significant improvements to his bowling.
Faheem could play a big role at the World Cup as he is one of the genuine all-rounders in Pakistan’s team.
“Faheem Ashraf’s bowling has improved a lot and he is a batsman who can improve his batting also. He will bat at 8 or 9,” Sarfraz was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
