Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has revealed that he is planning to bat in the top five during the World Cup, which begins in England and Wales next month.

Sarfraz usually bats lower down the order, but has promoted himself to higher positions in the past.

However, with Pakistan needing their top order batsmen to fire during the World Cup, it remains to be seen how Sarfraz will fare in the top five if he bats there during the tournament.

“I intend to bat in the top five,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion.

Pakistan will begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
