Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq has once again urged people to stop comparing him to his uncle Inzamam-ul-Haq.
Since making his international debut in October 2017, Imam has constantly been compared to his uncle, who is a former Pakistan captain and the current chief selector.
Despite Imam repeatedly requesting that he not be compared to Inzamam, the 23-year-old’s pleas have fallen on deaf ears.
With the World Cup beginning next month, Imam was quoted by Dawn as saying: “It is not right to compare me with him but I’ll try and do my best for the team.”
Meanwhile, Imam also admitted that “it was an honour meeting Imran Khan” after the former Pakistan captain and current Prime Minister gave the World Cup team a motivational pep talk.
Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
