Pakistan spinner Shadab Khan has made an incredibly bold prediction, saying he can picture himself being the “best all-rounder” at the World Cup.
Shadab is mostly known for his spin bowling, but it should be noted that he has three ODI half-centuries to his name and averages 29.40 in the format.
Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies on May 31 and Shadab has a clear goal in mind.
The 20-year-old was quoted by Dawn as saying that he is determined to “emerge as the best all-rounder of the tournament, which is why I am concentration on my batting as well”.
In addition to his personal objective, Shadab also feels that Pakistan are capable of beating any team at the World Cup.
“We are capable of defeating any team,” the Mianwali native said.
