Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has claimed that Pakistan probably have “the most attacking and lethal bowling unit” going into the World Cup.
In their World Cup squad, Pakistan picked two specialist spinners in Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan, while their pace attack consists of Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Junaid Khan and Mohammad Hasnain.
Inzamam noted that the bowling attack has the ability to create pressure, stifle the flow of runs and take wickets at any time.
“In Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Junaid Khan and Mohammad Hasnain, Pakistan probably has the most attacking and lethal bowling unit, which has variation and variety to take wickets and keep the opponents under pressure,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
