Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal seems to have hinted that batting at number six is stopping him from becoming as good as India captain Virat Kohli.
While Kohli is widely regarded as the best batsman in the sport today and has toppled multiple records, Akmal only recently made his international comeback after he was picked for the five-match ODI series against Australia in the United Arab Emirates.
During the series, Akmal accumulated 150 runs at an average of 30.
With Akmal batting at between four and six during the series, he questioned whether Kohli is made to bat as low as number six.
“How have I done injustice to myself? I am compared to Virat (Kohli), masha’Allah he is a big player. Can you tell me was he ever made to bat at number six? I want to do what is best for the team and I will keep on doing that,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
