Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has admitted that seamer Hasan Ali will be the key bowler for the national team during the World Cup.
Hasan was recently rested for the ODI series against Australia in the United Arab Emirates, but prior to that, he excelled in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The 24-year-old finished as the top wicket-taker in the PSL as he claimed 25 wickets in 13 matches for Peshawar Zalmi at an average of 13.64.
“In the PSL, Hasan Ali bowled really well and once of twice when I faced him, he did not allow me to hit out,” Sarfraz was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “Hasan Ali is our key bowler and the way he has shown his commitment by becoming the best bowler in the PSL, I am sure that he will perform very well for Pakistan in the World Cup.”
