Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has revealed that there will be a number of key players for the national team at the World Cup.
In addition to himself, Sarfraz said that the other key players include opener Fakhar Zaman, batsman Babar Azam, spinner Shadab Khan, all-rounders Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik, and pace bowlers Hasan Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
“Your key players for the World Cup squad are Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi; these are the kinds of players, including myself, who can perform well for Pakistan in the World Cup,” Sarfraz was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
“All these are our key players and for the last one-and-a-quarter-years, we have all been busy working towards the World Cup.”
Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
