Legendary Pakistan left-arm seamer Wasim Akram believes that fellow left-arm pace bowler Mohammad Amir could captain the national team in the future.
Akram’s comments come after he defended the 26-year-old over his dismal form in ODI cricket since the Champions Trophy final in June 2017.
Since then until now, Amir has taken five wickets in 14 ODIs at an abysmal average of 92.60.
Despite this, Akram reiterated that he can see Amir captaining Pakistan down the line.
“I see him as future captain of the Pakistan team,” Akram was quoted as saying by cricketpakistan.com.pk.
