Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has admitted that Mohammad Amir’s struggles in ODI cricket are a major concern, but insisted that the left-arm seamer is capable of bouncing back.
Since the Champions Trophy final in June 2017, Amir has taken five wickets in 14 ODIs at an abysmal average of 92.60.
Sarfraz earlier said that Amir needed to be more focused when it comes to bowling 10 overs in an ODI.
Amir has been included in the list of 23 probables for the World Cup, but people are divided on whether he will be part of the final squad selected.
“It is true that Amir is not able to take wickets, but as a captain I believe that he has been bowling well but unfortunately has is not getting the results,” Sarfraz was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder. “His wicket taking ratio is very disturbing as he is our strike bowler.
“However, Amir is a player that has the ability to make a good comeback, obviously we [will] talk to him and try to identify the flaws.”

Sarfraz what is your performance in odi cricket.as you are a captain of team.you are striker of whole team.but you are fail.
I agree Sarfraz has not been doing enough as a batsman. He needs to step up too, just like Amir.
World Cup 2019, playing without Amir, No a good idea, however amir didn,t get much wickets but don,t forget he,s big game player, my suggestion amir should be part of world cup 2019, England wickets are bouncing and fast, were amir can performing better. Special Amir must play game against India , they have scard from him.
Open Amir record against Indians cricket player Amir have been out standing. so please don,t lose him.
I’m worried that Amir is in such bad form that he won’t have much of an impact during the World Cup. But we’ll see what happens.
