Faisal Iqbal: “I am 37 years old right now, so I want to continue playing cricket for some more time”

Pakistan batsman Faisal Iqbal has revealed that he intends to keep playing cricket for a while before transitioning into a full-time coaching role.

Faisal last played international cricket in January 2010, but has been representing Karachi Whites in domestic tournaments.

The 37-year-old last featured for Karachi in their Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Super Eight match against Peshawar in November 2018.

“I am 37 years old right now, so I want to continue playing cricket for some more time,” he told cricketpakistan.com.pk. “We have examples of other cricketers that are also continuing their cricket while opting for coaching roles in various leagues around the world.”
