Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani has lavished praise on opener Abid Ali and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan for their performance in the recently concluded ODI series against Australia in the United Arab Emirates.
Abid scored a century on debut in the fourth ODI in Dubai, while Rizwan made hundreds in the second and fourth ODIs.
Rizwan amassed 231 runs in five matches at an average of 57.75, while Abid accumulated 112 runs in two games at an average of 56.
“Abid Ali was not able to get an opportunity but once he got one he made it count,” Mani told cricketpakistan.com.pk. “Also Rizwan has showed that he can also play in the side as a batsman.”
