Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani has admitted that he is confident both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will tour Pakistan in the near future.
Mani revealed that he is talking with his Sri Lanka counterparts personally and added that the board is also in talks with Bangladesh officials.
International cricket has been slowly trickling back into Pakistan as Sri Lanka did visit the country in 2017 as they played a Twenty20 International in Lahore on October 29.
The West Indies also toured Pakistan as they played a three-match Twenty20 series in Karachi in April 2018.
“We are hopeful of hosting Sri Lanka in the near future and I’m in contact with the islanders personally,” he told cricketpakistan.com.pk. “The issue is sensitive because it was their team that came under attack in Lahore in 2009.
“We have a series with Bangladesh according to the future tours program. We are talking with them as well.”
