Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani believes that it is possible for the entire Pakistan Super League (PSL) to be held in Pakistan, but admitted that it will take a lot of hard work.
Eight games in this year’s PSL, including the final, were held in Karachi and many international players made the trip to Pakistan.
However, with the grounds in Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad having been neglected over the years, Mani reiterated that a lot of work needs to be done before the entire tournament can be played in Pakistan.
“This task will not be easy. We will have to work very hard. In the past, the stadiums of Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad have not been adequately cared for,” he told cricketpakistan.com.pk. “The work is a lot but we hope we will be successful in hosting the entire PSL in Pakistan.
“The support of the Sindh government enabled us to hold eight [matches] instead of five in Karachi. The UAE grounds were empty, Karachi had packed houses with an exciting atmosphere.”
