Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed may not be playing in the ongoing ODI series against Australia, but insisted that there is nothing to worry about after the national team lost the first two matches.

Sarfraz was rested for the series with a number of other high-profile players, including Babar Azam and Hasan Ali.

However, Pakistan, who are currently being led by Shoaib Malik, have not been able to get the job done in the first two ODIs as they have lost both games by eight wickets.

Sarfraz revealed he isn’t concerned since Pakistan can finalise all their plans and prepare for the World Cup when they tour England for a one-off Twenty20 International and five-match ODI series from May 5 to 19.

“The World Cup is a tough competition because of the format this time but we have done our preparations and we will have time to finalise our plans when we go to England and also play the ODI series against England and some practice games as well,” he was quoted as saying by Firstpost.

Pakistan will begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
