Shane Watson believes that Australia will have their work cut out for them if they face his Quetta Gladiators teammate Mohammad Hasnain in the upcoming five-match ODI series.
Hasnain was picked for the series due to his stellar performance in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he has claimed nine wickets in six games at an average of 20.11.
Considering that the 18-year-old is capable of bowling at 150km/h on a consistent basis, Watson admitted that he could pose problems for the Australian batsmen in the series, which begins on March 22 in Sharjah.
“Hasnain is an incredibly talented and incredibly skillful young man. To be able to bowl at the speed he does and have the control he does as well is unheard of,” the former Australia all-rounder was quoted as saying by Saj Sadiq on Twitter. “I have not seen someone of Hasnain’s age bowl at the speed he does and have the control he does.
“As we saw tonight Hasnain is an incredibly special talent and there’s no doubt Australia will have their work cut out facing him as he bowls at a very good pace, has good skills and a good change of pace, so they will have to be on their game to play him well.”
