Legendary Pakistan seamer Waqar Younis has called on Quetta Gladiators pace bowler Mohammad Hasnain to make his bowling action smoother.
Waqar has been highly impressed with the 18-year-old, who has grabbed everyone’s attention in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL), and even admitted that Hasnain reminds him of himself.
In the five games he has played, Hasnain has claimed seven wickets at an average of 21.85.
However, Waqar feels that if Hasnain, who is capable of bowling 150km/h consistently, heeds his advice, the youngster can be even more lethal.
“He is a bit rough in his action and I had that same problem and once that is sorted, he will not have to put a lot of effort,” the 47-year-old, who is Islamabad United’s team president, told the PSL website. “I mean his run-up is a bit laborious, but once he manages it, he will be more effective. I wish him the best of luck.”
